This series of animated posters investigates how “light” as an abstract concept can be harnessed as a dynamic design element to create a kinetic motion within a static frame. Using pointilism, I generated a series of illustrations that have custom keyframed animations to make light itself the primary storyteller. The geometric precision of ITC Avant Garde typeface was chosen to reinforce the retro-futurist style and to compliment the organic moment of the light points as a grounding design element.
