What Years of Dreaming Looks Like

short self-portraiture film
Using split-screen as a technique, each frame is an exploration of how ideas evolve—layering introspection with scenes of inspiration. In essence, it is how a process of rejection became the foundation for self-expression. Subtitles, drawn from advice I received over the years, appear as a narrative thread, highlighting the inner conflicts and affirmations I have as an artist. The audio is a combination of diagetic sounds grabbed while filming in my NYC shoebox apartment and Mendelssohn’s "Songs Without Words."
